We are excited to announce that ARCHITECTURE BUILDING CULTURE has been selected to design the new Black Cultural Center on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon. We will be working in close collaboration with our Associate Designer, Darell W. Fields, Ph.D. of The Maxine Studio, Hoerr Schaudt Landscape ArchitectsKPFF Portland(structural engineer), PAE (MEP engineer), BHE (civil engineer), Brightworks (sustainability), Czopek Design Studio (interior design), and Bruce Mau Design (wayfinding & building identity).

The Black Cultural Center will be the home for Black student organizations and initiatives that directly enhance the college experience of Black students on the University of Oregon campus. The purpose of the center is to be a nucleus for Black student life by providing a place that supports education, growth, and development. The space will welcome campus and community members to partake in cultural events and learn about the history that led to the creation of the Black Cultural Center at UO.
